Nepenthe B&B

2.5 star property
9.2 out of 10, Wonderful, (104)
"Nepenthe is a gem. You need to grab this stay for as long as it stays a gem, the owners are getting older and are actively trying to sell. Make this trip, you will not regret it. Stay for the week, there is plenty to do around Arenal, do not spend hours driving that you could spend listening to the howler monkeys, watching the toucans every morning, or enjoying the oropendola living their day. Hotel Campestre Arenal

4.6 out of 10, (4)
"There was no communication between staff and guest because the staff "acted" like they couldnt speak english and when i used a spanish app they acted like they had no clue until they needed my money then suddenly they understood what i said and english. Constant noise and animals. Pool sucks too. They provide a home cooked breakfast which was really good so thats why they get 1 star but nothing else."

Casa Cielo Jungle House at Cielo Ranch Reserve. Breakfast Included!

10.0 out of 10, Exceptional, (5)
"Paul and the team and the best in the area. If you are thinking of staying in Fortuna, take a few extra minutes and drive a little further north to paradise in the mountains. The rooms, the amenities and the scenery are a 10! We ate at the private restaurant every night and we were happy we did. Rosita’s restaurant is amazing and we would recommend eating there at every opportunity. Thank you Paul, Rosie and Bill for the great stay. Blessings. "

Toucan Suite, Encantada Arenal Adults Only, Wildlife Sanctuary, B&B. Enjoy More!

10.0 out of 10, Exceptional, (9)
"Hosts thought of every possible item a visitor to Costa Rica might need or want. From binoculars to maps, insect repellant and rain ponchos, they really thought of everything. Besides that, their space is warm and homey, pups especially welcoming, and the view spectacular. Love their story. Be sure to learn all you can about Encantada. "

Cabina Arsol

3.0 star property
2.0 out of 10, (2)
"Everything outside and inside the structure is a mess; dirty, smelly, with stuff piled up everywhere. We were so "lucky" to have the best room; a room that smelled of cat's urine. The fan was broken, so the air conditioning and the main light didn't work. The pillow were smelly. Breakfast is poor, if you have the chance to have it. In fact the day we finally left, the owner didn't show up even if he was supposed to serve breakfast starting from 7:30. We were in a hurry, and we've been stuck for...

Suwa Villa Arenal

3.5 star property
10.0 out of 10, Exceptional, (52)
"Suwa Villa Arenal is one of the best places at which I have stayed! We had four guests and stayed for four nights in mid-March. Beautiful rooms with an outdoor patio and chairs, and A/C. Very clean and fully stocked communal kitchen, with a super cute and lush lounge area on the side. There are laundry machines available to use, with 2 free detergent pods provided. There was also a mini jacuzzi (temporarily cold water when we visited), and a fireplace for hanging out outside at night. Parking is...
