"All good but we couldn't get the tv to work - it said 'no signal' all the time and the batteries were flat in one of the remotes so we bought new batteries which made no difference. Lovely decor and space."

"We were there for a race and our group all fit comfortably. The pool and hot tub are a great addition. "

"Four friends from Norway had a relaxing time at Clarks Beach. The house was modern and the area was great for sunbathing, walking on the beach, for a swim when the water was high tide or going to a beach close by to deeper water. We had a car and could discover the wonderful area around the West Coast. "

"Overalll excellent. Only issue we had was 5 of us and 5 cars. Parking for two only and very limited roadside parking available."

"This was an emergency stay for us as our home had been flooded and insurance was paying. It was close to where we live so we were able get back home quickly to help with the clean up. So it was not a holiday but an excellent place to stay under the circumstances. Loved the bathrooms."

"Upon reading some of the reviews, I am in full agreement that it was a special privilege to stay in such a wonderful house. My bed was stunning in the act that I had to climb up onto it. The location was so good because it was nice an quiet but a good distance to drive to the CBD and beyond to the likes of Onehunga where our seminar was. There were three of us but four would be a good number for comfort. Laurie was so obliging in letting us use his washing machine and his advice on local...

"The place is great Grey hairs were on the pillow cases in the middle room The kitchen needed a collinder for draining pasta etc and a larger knife for carving meat, watermelon etc "

"We arrived to a property that had not been cleaned, dishes in the sink, beds linen had not been changed and dirty washing on the floors of both bedrooms and bathrooms. We contacted the host who immediately rectified this issue by sending a cleaner around within 15 mins. The property itself is in an excellent location with spectacular views. "

"Have stayed at Barclay 3 or 4 times over the years and I’m not sure I’ll return again. The property is very run down, more like a motel level of furnishings and overall condition (broken door stops, carpet sagging/rolling). Good location and spacious when travelling with a group."

"Location was perfect, clean,accessible to everything. May walk to sky tower and grocery. We had a 3 bedroom suite with kitchen , living room, balcony and 2 bathrooms. Staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent place to stay."
