"You will not find a better location for a private stay than Casa Riva. It is positioned right in the heart of Varenna and is a great launching point for other towns on the lake as well. The bed was very comfortable and we loved waking up to the sound of water every morning. We will be back!"

"We stayed for 3 nights and wished it was a week. The apartment was as comfortable and the view as beautiful as advertised. We did not have a car But it was easy to get to and from the lovely town of Varenna by cab. Marco was a very gracious and helpful host I highly recommend this property. "

"We loved our stay at this property. Hosts were very helpful and the veranda was just beautiful. Too bad the weather was not better to enjoy it. Apartment is very comfortable. We had lots of space for the four of us to relax. Property is very close to the ferry station too."

"The property had a wonderful, spectacular view. The access to a garage was nice and convenient. Loved all the space in the apartment. Did not like the drive up all the winding roads. Also did not like having the first garage. Parking in it was a hassle from the steep slope and narrow driveway. "

"Instructions for check in were detailed and we had no problems. We were able to find a parking spot in the garage but be warned there are only a few and it's first come first serve. The view from the apartment is breathtaking. The location is in Fiumelatte, a 20-ish minute walk to Varenna which we were happy to do every day. "The location of this property is perfect. It’s in the main plaza and not to far from the water. 12 minute walk to the ferry & train station. However, they have limited office hours which complicates things if you are getting in pretty late. Grabbing the keys from their office and walking another 12 mins to the actual property was pretty inconvenient (especially if you have luggages). The actual property is really nice and small, good for couples. "

"I hate to leave poor ratings but feel it needs to be said. 1) lights would not work so we discovered circuit breaker had been tripped. We had to flip the circuit several times on the first night because usage of lights and the fan caused outages. Reading other reviews, this seems to be a known problem. 2) shower drain overflowed within a couple of minutes. Water went all over bathroom floor and down wall into first floor. Right along the electrical panel, probably why it is constantly tripping....

"Das Apartment Letizia liegt ruig gelegen direkt am see. Ausreichend Platz mit 3 Schlafzimmer und Wohnbereich. Leider ohne Klimaanlage! Bei hohen Temperatur wird das Apartment zur Sauna. Wir hatten trotzdem einen sehr schönen Urlaub dort...und würden als Verbesserung ein paar Mückengitter an den Fenstern vorschlagen... "
