"Off the beaten path! Great ranch lodge type experience! The people were friendly and the food at The Bad Rabbit Cafe was excellent! I wasn’t expecting it to be as far from Terlingua as it was but that also is what added to the character of the place! This area of Texas was on our “Bucket List” and Terlingua Ranch Lodge gave us authenticity to our experience. Thank you!"

Star Lodge: Stunning Solar Home under Dark Skies on Terlingua Ranch

"Out in the middle of nowhere but that’s part of the attraction. Terlingua itself is highly overrated so no need to be there. Takes 30-40 minutes to reach the park and another 30 to reach the Basin. But that’s the way it is around Big Bend. A really nice modern house. Be prepared to drive on dirt roads!"

As advertised.

"The property was clean and cozy, exactly as advertized. The owner does have a place onsite, as stated in the listing. They were not there while we were, but had they been, it may have been a bit too close. Again, its listed as such and the pictures are acurate. I suppose I let my imagination assume it was a bit further away. Regardless, the pripert was great and the accommodations were clean, cozy, and exceeded expectations."

Just Wow

"The total peace and QUIET, watching the sun dance across the desert and the mountains and mesas with ever undulating colors...just wow. That's just the daytime.How it comes alive at night with the coyotes and four legged creatures moving across the shale and making it clatter is nothing compared to being able to reach out and grab whichever star you like because they're all within reach. Retreat indeed. Wish I could've not left at all. Terrific remote spot with excellent hosts. The house had everything I needed and did not disappoint in my hopes and anticipation. "

"Casa Tranquila lived up to it's name. The house was nestled between two hills with expansive views front and back.The environment was calm and peaceful. One of the big reasons for coming here was to experience the stars. So stunning!! TY!!"

Great place, great locations for traveling to Big Bend

"Great place, very functional for the family. Loved the inside and outside of the cabin for the hiking vocation with my family. The cabin was very clean, directions and instructions are very clear and detailed. Had amazing experience of star gazing at night and the quietness I have not seen in a while living in a big city. The place had enough sitting area outside and inside for indoor and outdoor trip accommodations. Thank you for the great experience. Loved all of it. Loved little touch with having drinking water and coffee provided by the owners/ managers of the cabin. Will recommend staying there to people with children and without children. "

Desert Hide-Away

"We enjoyed the peace and solitude of this desert home. Far from the crowds-which was exactly what we were looking for. Terlingua was not far and the beauty of Big Bend was all around us. If you would like to experience desert life- this is the perfect spot for it. The back porch provided us with great evenings and the most beautiful Texas sky filled with millions of stars. Will definitely be back !!"

Terlingua Home Perfect location

"We very much enjoyed our stay at the Terlingua home. It is spacious and was very clean! I just couldn't ever get the wifi to work for my phone, but we didn't really need it as we were only there in the evenings. The location is excellent for Big Bend National Park, Terlingua/Study Butte, and Alpine. I would definitely stay here again."
