"The property, rooms and surrounding gardens are just wonderful. Picturesque and very peaceful. The rooms are stunning. Only thing we missed was any guidance, signs etc to point to reception and breakfast area. It's a little search and find. Also there was no coffee or bar service as mentioned as all was closed, so I would recommend to enquire beforehand if you plan to use these facilities. Not a problem once you know as there are options a short drive away or just enjoy a picnic and a wine in...

"This small B and B (5 rooms) is very beautiful and the decor is artistic and elegant. So much attention to detail. My bed was so comfortable, and the shower great. I enjoyed sitting the garden when I arrived for a glass of wine and snack. It's about a five minute walk to Santa Maria gate to Centro. Maria, the owner, and Nadia, her assistant, were welcoming and attentive. "

"The location was close to the promenade and beach. A lovely park was directly across from the property. It is a perfect place to walk to the train station, beach, restaurants and shops. It was a quiet location as well. The owners are lovely and very accommodating. The train made seeing Lucca and Cinque Terre a dream come true for me. I highly recommend this place. "

"Ideal location in lucca. The host, Debora, was very welcoming and helpful. Nice, spacious room with bathroom. Tea, coffee and snack facilities provided. We had front room which did get some street noise but, otherwise, excellent."

"Like: the room was built on the ancient Amphitheater. It is located in the midst of everything. Dislike: The AC did not work. IT was unplugged. After a day I realized that, but then the remote had no effect in setting temperature, etc. I sweated every evening. The noise outside prevented me from leaving the window open. There was no cleaning service. Only once did someone come to empty the trash basket and removed a used towel. Two tiny soaps and two packets of shampoo. I had to go out and...

"Nous avons passé une semaine dans la maison de Mária Theresa. Nous avons été très bien accueilli par sa famille avec un petit gâteau de la région et une corbeille de fruits. "Hotel Ilaria is a lovely hotel in the cute town of Lucca. It is quiet, clean and comfortable with a perfect location for exploring the town. Breakfast was delicious with lots of healthy options in addition to typical Italian pastries. The evening complimentary happy hour was wonderful. I met some lovely fellow travelers and had a great time. The best part of the hotel is the staff. The young man at the front desk was extremely kind and welcoming. He helped me purchase tickets to an evening of opera as part of the Puccini festival. It was wonderful. This one staff member (apologies that I didn’t write down his name) made my stay extra special with his kindness. And he looked great in the green hotel uniform suit (as did the young woman too). Thank you for making me feel that hotel Ilaria in Lucca was my home away from home. "

Perfect Location and Lovely Property.

"A smiling friendly welcome, spotlessly clean large room with a super comfy bed and a spacious bathroom with excellent big shower. What more do you need. Lovely property in the old town only a short walk from the railways station. Ideal for exploring or relaxing. Nice little bar on site to with a good selection of drinks including local artisan beers."

"Great value for a hotel! Slightly out of the city centre but very walkable distance. The room had enough space for two people, the bathroom facilities were perfect for what we needed, with a well functioning shower and plenty of towels. The staff were really helpful and friendly. We didn’t have the breakfast but to have had the option for an included breakfast is even better value! Would recommend this hotel and would stay here again. "
