"We had a lovely time in this beautiful house - there was plenty of living space for the whole group to spread out and we loved having a big group dinner in the grand dining room. The house is old and some niggles are to be expected (minor cobwebs, loose doorknobs, a couple of chipped mugs) and they definitely didn't take away from our love for the place (and shouldn't deter anyone else!)."

"Great house in a convenient location. Lots of space and everything you need for a comfortable stay.We travelled over from Canada and drove straight up from Heathrow. When we arrived, the host had left enough food for our breakfast the following morning as well as milk and tea for us. Couldn’t ask for anything better after 15 hours of travel."

The garden has a knockout location right on the river and some rooms also have this gorgeous view, including the huge bathroom with freestanding tub. There are however a lot of stairs. "The Nook is a lovely place located in a perfect position to explore Shrewsbury and the surrounding area. The quality of the furnishings and particularly the bed are very good. We enjoyed our stay and would certainly consider a further visit in the future. The only reason for four stars rather than five is due to the narrow spiral staircase which is quite steep. We could manage it but for some people it would be a real challenge."

"It’s not worth the price we paid, we booked for 11 person but the bed can only accommodate 10 person that my son end up sleeping on the floor , upstrair toilet floor is leaking down to the kitchen, we emailed the host on the first day but no reply til we check out, So we have to share the the down floor toilet, the hot tub is dirty that we end up cleaning for us to be able to use, dusty and loads of cubweds in one of the bedroom downstairs."
