"We drove from Ojochal side and the Google map link took us through the right road side. We eventually did get there. We stayed in Toucan (3 bedroom). The communication was on point. The road is indeed unpaved and it takes us about 15 min. We did have a 4x4 but didn’t really need to use the function only when it rained. We did notice the adjoining bedrooms, we can hear each other’s conversation. We were 2 couples and had to decide which rooms would give us more privacy. The place was real nice and cool. There’s AC in all the bedrooms and living room. The kitchen has most of what you’ll need to cook a meal. We couldn’t get the AC on and it was immediately addressed. We had to play with the shower to get the right temperature. It’s either very hot water or cold. We didn’t get a chance to address this. We’d stay here again. We felt safe and comfortable. "

"We had an absolutely unforgettable stay at this stunning villa just south of Uvita. The views of the ocean and surrounding canopy were truly breathtaking—every sunrise and sunset felt like a dream. Hands down, the best beaches we have ever seen were literally just a few min away from this property. The villa itself was beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable. If you are a bird lover, you will not be disappointed! We experienced seeing more types of amazing birds while just enjoying the veranda in the early morning and the evenings. What really set this experience apart was the host—his local recommendations were spot-on (we didn’t have a single bad meal!), and he was consistently responsive and helpful throughout our stay. If you’re looking for the perfect combination of natural beauty, relaxation, and great hospitality, this is it. We can’t wait to come back!"

"The location of the property is beautiful, set back from the road and elevated for a great view of the Pacific. We particularly enjoyed the Happy Hour each day at 5:00 to enjoy the fabulous sunsets. The pool, the colorful plants, the toucans, tanagers, orapendulas and numerous other birds added so much to our visit. The staff was so accommodating and friendly. Our 5 days spent at Cristal Ballena were top notch!"
