"We were treated for a 1 night stay as a gift so we decided to add on 1 more night good decision the staff are so helpful friendly and cant do enough for you nothing is too much bother the food is homecooked well presented and delicious the woolly sheep is a quirky old building with lots of character a fabulous covered outdoor area which will be amazing in the better weather as the roof goes back to make it an open top area, the rooms are tastefully decorated in a lovely modern style and colours...

"The location of the old registry Howarth is great. On arrival debbie at reception was more than helpful. Our room and decor throughout the hotel was lovely. The breakfast was really nice although i thought why only half a slice of black pudding ? as its a period house the top 2 rooms are only accessed by 4 sets of very steep stairs, which for us, with knee and hip problems wasn't easy. It was a shame the resturant was closed on both nights of our stay but it just drove us to another venue...

"Patrick and his wife were very welcoming, the property is dated but comfortable and clean and very reasonably priced. The surrounding area is a short walk away, with some nice pubs, restaurants (with gluten free options), shops and a Tesco etc... The only thing that would have improved our stay would have been some comfy chairs or small sofa in the room as I personally struggle watching TV in bed, due to health issues, but other than that it was a pleasant stay."
