"This was our 7th visit to The Old Bridge in Holmfirth. The staff are exceptional, all of them are extremely helpful, polite and professional, thank you all of you. Lovely breakfast as always. "The Alma is set in beautiful surrounding just a 10 min down hill walk ftom a village or 5 mins in the car into a town but you feel like your away from everything The staff are all very helpful and cant do enough for you choice of food is good ( if your wanting a great sunday roast get there early as the had run out at 4pm) just pre order your sunday roast wine and coktails are reasonably priced . On that note this is why we repeat visit once a month to re-couperate and take time out to chill...

"We stayed here as a couple but also as part of a larger family group, including my niece and nephew (12 and 8 respectively). Our room was the Illingworth room. It was huge, facing out across the road to the lovely old church. Road noise was minimal and the bed extremely comfy with good pillows which were not too soft, perfect for us. We slept well. En suite was well laid out and tastefully decorated. A few hangers were on a rail for our clothes and a hairdryer, iron and ironing board were also...

"Excellent stay in midst of stunning countryside and so many places to visit. Need a car to get out and about. Hotel first class in every way. Cook to order breakfasts but staff very flexible in accommodating options which was perfect. "

"Reasonable. Normally i would have said excellent but one or two things were not upto there usual standard . There was music noise from downstairs until late and the room i had was v dark but was attractive ( 13) . The food was ok but mine lacked vegetables and the fishcakes were dry."
