"The positives: The staff were very nice, the shuttle drivers were great and the cabin was clean. It was peaceful and quiet. However, if we had known that the cabin was 2 km away from the hotel, we probably would not have stayed. I booked it because of its proximity to echo land. However, the cabins were located 2 km outside of town, and although there was a shuttle it would’ve been super helpful to have a car. in addition, the cabin was very cold. "The young owners of this property are very sweet, kind and really try to be helpful. They seemed that had not quite got the hang of being proprietors, but they are very likable. Compared to other places we stayed cluttered with not quite the same and amenities. The owner was very helpful when we got stuck in snow bank during a snowstorm via messages. If you get a chance, listen to Echo play the piano "

"I really enjoyed my time at Dark Horse. The owner and staff are warm and welcoming, and helped out in many ways, both big and small. Breakfasts and dinners were good and the lounge/dining room was a comfortable place to relax after riding. It was great value for the money. "This is a new hotel in Hakuba. The room is clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel has shuttle bus to Happo One and Hakuba 47. A rental store is right next to the hotel. The restaurant at the hotel is very nice. We also walked around to explore the local restaurants. We had a very pleasant experience!"
