"This was a lovely stay in Otaru. Pleasant staff and our room was unexpectedly ready early (rare in Hokkaido). The free wine in the lounge is a lovely perk. Rooms are small but functional with hot water showers. Could use a bit more storage in the bathroom, but we made it work. Staff are all friendly and the breakfasts were massive and delicious. Thanks for the great stay!"

There is a safe in the room, please use it! I got my stuff stolen without knowing it till one week later. "Had a pleasent stay and closeby main attractions. Do note that the stay is on top of the hills so its difficult to get to by foot. However, the view is very nice. "

"Nice hostel in Otaru! Owners are friendly and willing to help out any questions you may have. No kerosene heaters required although there was a small one in my room that I used for a nightstand, not sure why it was there because there was also a wall mounted modern Hitachi ac/heater unit that was quiet and worked perfectly. This was my first hostel stay so the only thing I needed was a larger bath towel that was easily purchased a short walk away. Will be back!"
