"A convenient place to stay, just a short walk from the train station. The room was nicely decorated and although advertised as cosy, it was fairly spacious. The bed was comfortable and more than sufficient amenities for a few nights stay. The bathroom could’ve been cleaner and the shower wasn’t very hot or powerful. Great food in the pub downstairs from a varied menu. "

"This was a perfect get away , so peaceful . We stayed in stable 1 , two adults and our dog. Lovely comfy beds and pillows, duvet. Enough room for shorter stay. Everything was catered for . We had a lovely fire pit and BBQ outside the stable which we used . Views are amazing . Lovely pub a short walk down the road called the Punch Bowl , lovely food, wines, staff were so friendly . You’ll need a torch to walk home if it’s dark which we had been told about . Situated perfectly for getting to main...

"Such an amazing lodge based in the heart of Lake Windermere, with easy check in the place had everything you need and more! Very clean on arrival and easy check in!"

"Large rooms on single level and a modern cabin were a welcome change from tiny cottages. The uncleaned toilet was the only negative. The trailer park was in a beautiful setting and excellent location. The facilities were good, but, the restaurant was poor."

"Absolutely loved our stay here, the secret door was the topper to a wonderful placw to stay. Yes it wasnt the warmest before the heaters kicked jn but there were.cosy blankets, additional heaters and a the warmest duvet ive ever slept under! Loved the great hall and the pool table. "

"We had a week’s stay at Orton Hall in Nell Gwyn Cottage. The front room and bedroom were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped, but it all felt a bit dated. The grounds were lovely, but unfortunately it rained every day we stayed there, so we couldn’t really explore them. However, we did discover a chocolate factory in the village which we very much enjoyed, as well as a very tasty cafe for a full English breakfast nearby.
