"Loved everything about our stay. Great location, hospitable owners, beautiful grounds, cute chickens. Clean room and comfy bed, not en-suite but private bathroom for every room, hot shower with very good shower pressure, lovely common kitchen and lounge areas. Would have stayed longer had we could! "The Shed Retreat is an ideal getaway location for a Rotorua visit. It's only 20 minutes from the city centre but feels miles away given its rural locale. Great interior decor, a super-comfy bed and of course the cedar spa pool with its view is outstanding. Can't recommend it highly enough."

"Our recent stay at Hoa's Shed was anything but relaxing. The reviews and descriptions on the website were highly misleading. The place was filthy with spider webs and dust, and it took us two hours to clean it enough to sleep. The furniture was worn-out, and the outside furniture was very dirty and covered in bird droppings and mould.
