"Shane (owner) was very accommodating and helpful, overall good guy. Everyone that works there was equally helpful and in a good mood. Awesome breakfast every morning. The lodge is a short 5 to 10 minute walk to town, and to the lifts. Would definitely stay at Alpine Lodge again. "

"The positives: The staff were very nice, the shuttle drivers were great and the cabin was clean. It was peaceful and quiet. However, if we had known that the cabin was 2 km away from the hotel, we probably would not have stayed. I booked it because of its proximity to echo land. However, the cabins were located 2 km outside of town, and although there was a shuttle it would’ve been super helpful to have a car. in addition, the cabin was very cold. The heater smelled like gasoline and did not...

"I really enjoyed my time at Dark Horse. The owner and staff are warm and welcoming, and helped out in many ways, both big and small. Breakfasts and dinners were good and the lounge/dining room was a comfortable place to relax after riding. It was great value for the money. "This is claimed to be ski-in/ski-out, it is not! More like walk far ski less... There are plenty lodges / hotels / inns that are nicer and have much more to offer which are much closer to the lifts... yes, this location is closest to the slopes by sight and air distance, but unless you have the means to jump 50 meters with a height to clear a gondola, you're better off choosing different accommodation ;-) They also claim full continental breakfast...That must be the joke of this century!...
