"This hotel is by far one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in. We stayed in a suite which was perfect because I had an entire separate, private space to work virtually in video calls. The internet was consistent and higher speed than most hotels I’ve stayed in. The design details, lighting, comfort, and extra touches such as robes and slippers were wonderful. The cafe and terrace restaurant are fantastic as well. Centrally located, but the building is very well sound proofed and quiet inside...

"The staff was genuinely hospitable and helpful. Property was well-located and quiet. I felt like the rooms are pretty basic and poorly lit. Bath products should be higher quality. And there should be more effort to clean the walkways and courtyard landscaping."

"Small boutique hotel with 10 suites. Though a 10 minute walk from the center, it is in a very safe and walkable location. We had a 2 bedroom suite with a kitchenette. We also had a small semi private patio for sitting The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. I would highly recommend. "

"Each Room is different with beautiful art pieces on the walls. Very Clean and Tastefully Decorated with attention to details. The staff was very attentive to all our needs. Walking distance to the Mercado and restaurants. Would deifinitely recommend this hotel."

"This hotel was nice and well kept. It is in a good location with lots of shopping and cafes nearby. The room was clean and the property was well maintained. Two blocks over from the pedestrian area and a few more down from the Centro historico. Overall it was a nice stay. "

"Really nice choice, depending on the room you choose. Some rooms are right on the dining courtyard and you will hear everything from inside as the building is stone with no insulation. That said, you will not hear any street noise. Pool was a huge selling point. "

"Every staff member at Hotel Fortin were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were spotless, well maintained and very comfortable. The restaurant had delicious breakfast and dinner items at a very reasonable price. Lastly the location of the hotel was close to all major attractions while still being quiet at nighttime. Overall amazing experience and highly recommend. "

"The hotel has many positives, starting with the staff, who were friendly and helpful. Its location is excellent—central and within walking distance to everything, and we felt safe even at night. The building is older, not luxurious, but clean and well-maintained. We stayed in a family room, which was convenient for our group of six, with three individual beds upstairs and a full-size bed downstairs. While the layout worked well for us, the beds could have been more comfortable. Also, the hotel provides only basic toiletries, so bring your own shampoo, conditioner, and soap. Another minor issue was the limited supply of toilet paper—we often had to request more since only one roll was provided at a time for six people. We did encounter a stressful situation due to a last-minute flight change. Expedia struggled to communicate the one-day delay to the hotel, partly due to a language barrier, and their request to update our reservation never reached the hotel. I had to call the hotel multiple times, but thankfully, a helpful staff member assured us our room would be held, which relieved my stress. Oddly, a day after we checked in, Expedia informed us the hotel never responded to their request. It was frustrating to handle this myself, but I appreciated the hotel’s staff for resolving the issue. Overall, it’s a clean hotel in a great location with excellent staff. Despite some inconveniences, it’s a good option for families or travelers seeking value and accessibility."

"This is a beautiful, old fashioned property. The decore and landscaping looked like it was 1960’s. It’s quiet and comfortable with grand views of the city and mountains behind it! The staff is professional and polite. We love this hotel…. We saw other Americans staying there. This is a great stay for someone that wants modern comforts. (Plenty of hot water)"
