"A bit remote but great views."

"Accommodation is as described. Clean and tidy. Comfortable beds and couch. For elderly parents it was easy access in and out of the cottage. I wasn't keen on the toilet and shower in the same space, but we made do. The cottage is behind John's place, next to the avocado orchard. Weirdly, this wasn't an issue, and didn't feel intrusive as we hardly saw or heard John as ran his daily errands. We saw more of his dog Bo. He's a lovely old dog, well trained and tends to lounge by the front door or...

"We were super-impressed with this property. Very tastefully renovated to a high standard and furnished with period pieces in keeping with the age of the building. Everything you could possibly need was supplied, including beach towels and coffee machine. I for one will be returning sometime! Debbie is a gem and very friendly and helpful. I left a paid or sandals under the dining table and she very kindly sent them to be by courier - thanks so much Debbie!"

"This is the perfect place to unwind. The beach and surrounding views are amazing. We enjoyed biking to the marina, walking the beach and soaking up the scenery from the comfy chairs. Mark and Leona are fantastic! Highly recommend!"

"Wonderful place to stay, with extra touches to make our stay special. Accommodation was clean and comfortable with plenty of space, with a balcony offering beautiful views over Bay of Islands. Excellent location for getting to quay fir boat and ferry trips and within walking distance of Waitangi Treaty Grounds. (Although the steep walk back up hill after a day out is quite tough...but view was worth it). "
