"The Hostel it’s self seemed well taken care of with a pretty decent standard of cleanliness, all though many hostel mates didn’t properly clean up after themselves in the kitchen and I found myself re-washing dishes before I could actually use them. The room I stayed in (a 4 bed) was quite spacious and the lockers were big enough for my travel backpack, but the beds themselves were pretty lack luster and I found myself having a hard time getting a comfortable sleep. "The staff went above and beyond to ensure that we had the best possible experience. We were even picked up from the ferry terminal when public buses were not running due to flooding. Dinner in the upstairs dining area was a great opportunity to meet fellow guests/travellers"

"Hals Lodge Hotel couldn’t have been better! The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, making the stay even more enjoyable. The rooms were spotless, and the beds were super comfortable. The location is also ideal, just a few meters from the main beach. It’s a wonderful place to relax for a few days. Highly recommended!"

"Stayed in a private triple room, room was fine, quite spacious! It was tidy and clean, though the bathroom kind of reminded me of a public bathroom (it was private though!). Only stayed one night and didn't use the kitchen so cannot comment on that, though it looked quite packed when we went in to grab some water. There were a lot of people staying here so it looks to be a social place but luckily it wasn't too loud around the rooms. The only thing was that it smelled a little bit of smoke...
