"Our favorite accommodation on our Vancouver Island tour. We liked the location, out of town and near our friends. My favorite things were the outdoor grill (try the local salmon if you can find it), the host's delicious homemade bread, and the roomba-like (Shark, actually) device that did a super job picking up crumbs and little bits of nature that blew in. I enjoyed hearing the sealions on the doc in the morning. The town is lovely with an excellent coffee house and bakery steps away. And a handful of options for lunch and dinner. I'd stay here again for a weekend getaway."

"This suite is modern, incredibly clean, and well maintained. The kitchen is new and well equipped and the bathroom also new with great storage. The bed is queen sized, and the duvet and sheets wonderful. I was most impressed by the lovely welcome package, that made our first few mornings a delight. The only negative would be the lack of a view, but this was perfect for the season and our length of stay. The unit was still very bright. "

Everything from the resident squirrel, hummingbirds, kingfishers, gulls working on swallowing starfish (no easy feat), eagles, lots of different marine birds, seals, river otter, sea lions galore catching dinner right out front, porpoise and a small pod of orca, however, the house does need some TLC."
