"It’s a lovely old hotel. I’ve driven by a few times and always wondered what it was like inside. It didn’t disappoint! Beautiful old floors and woodwork. Nothing cookie cutter. The bar is gorgeous, but the sound did not penetrate-even with a band playing. Room was clean, plenty of towels and temperature control was quick to change, so very comfortable If you like old buildings this is for you Only one word of caution. You do have to carry your bag up a staircase, so don’t overpack!"

"At first appearance we were more than skeptical. The property was under a massive renovation. I had learned this through recent reviews. But what i saw was a litte crazy and I'm in construction. Dumpster right at the entrance, furniture outside, furniture visible in rooms that was viewable. Upon checkin, which was very pleasant. Front desk was jammed in a small office as lobby is part of renovation. The desk clerk, who i am going to assume was possibly the owner, at least the manager was a...
