"We've stayed here a few times and feel it's good value for the price. Tonight there were some ants crawling around on the floor, but heh, we're in Costa Rica so not too surprised. The pool was warm and the bed was comfy."

"Nice quiet area near Playa Hermosa. The cabin is big, 3 bedrooms, full kitchen & an entry hall. Easy walk to Hermosa. Owner is friendly & speaks perfect English. Outdoor shower to wash off before entering cabin. Mostly great, our bathroom sink stopped draining but otherwise todo bien!"

"What a fabulous brand new property with a lovely pool and a very comfortable and well equipped apartment. The owners were very friendly and helpful and the property was very quiet with some lovely birds around. It's on the edge of the town with a 15 minute walk to the beach."

"Hard, hard to find. No real services offered, basic here is your room. What was fun was in next room screaming kid through out the night. Then in the am and all day noisy atvs all needing mufflers. It was close to beach, but no view of."

"Great overall just one really inconvenient thing was that for our 3 night stay we had to change room every single day which was a hassle and forced us to be at the property to do the moving every day at 1pm when we could have been at the beach or in town. "

"Lua Villas was absolutely amazing for our week long stay! The kitchenette is well stocked with the cookware and dishware we needed to cook most evenings. We enjoyed the yoga studio and the pool daily and thought the location was perfect for what we wanted. Playa Hermosa Cóbano is a quiet and lovely community away from the hustle and bustle of Santa Teresa, but close enough for a jaunt into town if needed. "Las Catalinas es un lugar único ! Me encanta que sea un pueblito lleno de rincones por explorar … Los jardines los tienen preciosos! Super cómodo que la playa esté en frente y el beach club también es increíble … Amo los trials para caminar o andar en bicicleta ! La playa es preciosa y muy rica para nadar . "Was a fantastic stay in Tamarindo! The staff were amazing, the facility was great and we would not hesitate to go back! The shuttle to town was amazing for pickup and drop off. A bit far of a walk but it wasn't an issue. The pool and bar were brilliant too. No issues with bugs like some other reviews said either. Would recommend!"

"Beautiful property, huge pool, variety of restaurants. Slightly isolated from any towns (half hour drive to Tamarindo and they have a shuttle). Walked to a nice beach restaurant, Lola’s. Could advertise that the spa has a sauna, steam room and small pool. Spa prices were high for Central America but service was good. Really enjoyed the Tamarine Restaurant. Room was very comfortable with a large bathtub. Pool is huge. Nice property, about an hour and a half from Liberia airport. Found a less expensive van to and from Liberia airport than what the Marriott offered. "

Occidental Papagayo - Adults Only - All inclusive

"My wife and I came from the US for our honeymoon for 7 days and we loved our stay! To be honest, we were worried after reading some of the reviews, but the staff was helpful and prompt, the property was clean, the pools were nice, and the beach was great! They have an awesome on-site booth to purchase excursions which we did multiple of! The only downsides we can only think of were the showers could use some updating! The food is decent; Nothing to write home about but not bad. There is quite a bit of walking, as the property is large, but truly nothing to complain about unless you are elderly or have some health issues. The animals on the property keep to themselves and are so cute! Overall, I’d say if you’re looking for a cheap, fun, good, place to stay and go out and see Costa Rica, this is your spot! If you’re looking for exquisite food, super nice rooms, and premium liquor, I’d go somewhere else:)"
