"A fabulous place to stay. Lovely sitting room never saw anyone use it would be much better utilised as a laundry ! We have been traveling for a week and would have been great to be able to get some clothes washed . Also heating was a bit of an issue no heaters on this morning and it was 1 degree !! There is a fan heater supplied and a blanket but the room then becomes stuffy . Great location and very clean but pack a hot water bottle 😊"

"Absolutely beautiful little rooms in a very sweet village. Perfect location for local weddings. Only Minor thing - some instructions on how to control the heating/aircon would be very helpful- we struggled to get the room to the right temperature!"

"Took the double bed option. Smallish room with a sink. Very clean and well presented. Toilets and bathrooms very handy across the hall. Good cooked breakfast. Handy car park out the front. For a cheap overnight stay to put me up after a night out with the boys in Preston i couldn't really fault it. "

"What a beautiful location. When my wife and i woke up in the morning, we watched the sunrise over the Dales. The same for breakfast as the dining room has ceiling high windows overlooking the cows and sheep grazing in the fields. The rooms are nice, clean, and quiet, and the beds are comfy. We quickly became friends with some of the other guests. The bottom line is that we had a wonderful time there. We highly recommend Throstle Nest Farm. "

"Amazing place to stay! This is the third time we have stayed here, you are always made to feel welcome. The hotel is right in the heart of Grassington, where there are great walks and restaurants on the doorstep. We would highly recommend it."

"Highfield house is very close to centre of Skipton. Parking is relatively easy in the area. Our host was available when I called to ask about parking on drive and as she had finished preparing the rooms allowed us to check in then. Very helpful."

"The room i was given looked like it had been smashed up with the bed on its side and slugs climbing up the door . Was promised a refund by both the owner and hotels.com and still waiting after nearly a month"

"I couldn’t stay in the accommodation. The accommodation appeared reptile infested. It is not suitable for any human being to stay in. Only fit to habit rats and other animals. The surrounding was just too bad. I am sure nobody has ever moved in there in 2 years. It looked like a death trap. This particular place should be taken off any hotel listing. "

"After going through the front gate that should have locked I came by a dumpster full of stinking garbage. The small courtyard was filthy. The stairs going up to the rooms needed a good cleaning and refurbishing. After opening the door to the room I was surprised how small it was, 8’x8’? The shared bathroom, toilet paperless, was dingy and poorly lit. Some photoshop trickery must have been used for the pics of the place. "Only reason not 5 star was only realised when arrived the pool was closed. Granddaughter so disappointed that we had to find public swimming pool to take her too. Accommodation excellent lots of room for 4 though can have 6. Would definitely stay again. "
