"Everything was wonderful EXCEPT the noise all night long from the bar across the street. My room #2 was at the front of the hotel. The noise finally stopped at 2am. There were earplugs in the night stand, so I guess this is a common problem for guests."

"Very quiet and nice layout, well sound insulated from pub, accommodating with late check in from visiting a gig and good onsite parking set back from the road, as two young women we felt very safe and undisturbed during our visit. Will likely book with Harpers again in the future here or trying another site, many thanks!"

"Unique ancient house restored as much as they can. Great staff and fantastic breakfast. Parking lot is a block and an half away for $8. We had a very comfy bed and a lovely shower. The pub serves first class grilled beef. Great experience. "

"Super friendly and helpful staff . Property is a little tired in places . Could do with sound insulation between rooms very noisy plumbing between rooms) and floors! Especially when a function is on! Having said that our room was lovely and clean with heaps of room , very handy for trip into Southampton for the boat show. Lovely breakfast too! "

"Very friendly , helpful staff. Hotel and our room was very contemporary and extremely clean . Added bonus was a sea view from our room. Would definitely recommend this hotel and will certainly return for another visit."

"Very nice property in a lovely location close to all amenities and seafront. It was clean and cosy which made for a lovely break away. The only thing that would have improved the stay would have been a fridge freezer or freezer compartment in the fridge. Apart from that we would give 10 out of 10 for the property."

"Exceptional caravan with a view of the sea. Immaculately clean & modern with every small detail thought of (hooks behind doors etc). Great to have access to the nearest beach via a gate with a given number code. Very relaxing stay. We will definitely be booking again!"

Relaxing stay perfect choice

"Couple staying for our anniversary. Dinner in both restaurants absolutely delicious and the service was impeccable. Spa facilities were decent however steam room by the pool was closed. This was not an issue as there is a steam room in the changing rooms. Gym and fitness classes were fun and easy to book as was the use of the pickle ball court. My partner played a round of golf which he enjoyed, the grounds are beautiful and so is the walk down to the beach. Lounge and bar staff lovely, great cocktails. Highly recommend Chewton glen"
