So many pros: great, prompt communication with host, well looked after condo and grounds by property management, beautiful spot with wonderful (breezy) beach walks that cool you down, only 20-25 minute walk to town, laundry service (wash & dry for 250 pesos), water jugs delivered right to your water cooler (75 pesos), and water cooler has hot and cold taps, a bathtub (not common in the DR), a great espresso machine, cleaning service twice a week, so...

"We had a fantastic stay at el Neptuno. The Location is supreme, right by the ocean with a 2 minute walk to playa Sosua, the best beach ever! Check in was a breeze, Mery is great deal with. Our condo had a very comfortable bed and sofa with two large tvs with lots of channels. Had no problem with hot water.. it’s all keyless entry which I loved. The maid was always punctual and did a great job and security was fantastic. Highly recommend this place. "

"Nixon the host was great. Property grounds beautiful! They had some maintenance issues but Nixon was on all of them. He also knows the area very well and can answer any questions."

"We had the most amazing time celebrating our anniversary. The location truly feels like you have your own little condo on the beach. The communication and guidance was top notch and never made me feel bad about all my touristy questions :) The resort itself was small but adequate. I don't think older kids would have enough to do."

"the property, Hotel Grand Laguna, was located close to the beach & the Grotto service was excellent / friendly. The room had no hot water, a towel bar was down, 2nd bathroom shower was broken, a light was out, and no flyer for nothing (places to eat, see, shop, etc.)"

"This review is about the property manager Alvaro. He's top notch. Came for 14 day stay and luggage did not arrive until 2 days after arrival. Alvaro not only waited for me at the airport but acted as an intermediary between the airlines and I so I could get my luggage delivered and enjoy my vacation. He went over and above to help me."

"Property is well maintained. The room were upgraded. Could not be better. I have traveled to the area for decades and it was my first time at Emotions. I would go back again. One of the best all inclusive paces to stay in Puerto Plata right now. "

"We had a wonderful stay at Viva Heavens. Our room was spacious and had balcony. Food and drinks were decent. The main dining buffet does open late (6:30) so if you like to eat early this isn’t ideal. The beach area was clean and had plenty of loungers and had the option of being in the shade or in the sun. Only down side was a couple of nights we were awoken by people yelling and partying at 2:00 in the morning and the staff didn’t seem to take notice or care. We also noticed some guests would place their t-shirts/ towels around the pool area to claim a spot then go to the beach or the dining area so that no else could sit there. This limited the seating around the pool. Overall great stay and good value for the money. "

"Lovely, but too many "buy this" vendors on the beach. Also, not all amenities were available as indicated...asking for a $50 USD deposit to play pool. We would return only because the staff were very nice and its not a crazy party place."
