From the large soaking tub overlooking the tranquility of the mountains to the comfy beds, we had such a great time our kids didn’t want to leave. It’s the perfect location to go to Beech mountain and take advantage of the free sledding hill. We’ll be back :)"

"Loved the cabin and the owner. Great deck with grill and lights. Close to Mt Rogers and Grayson Highlands. Very quiet and dark sky at night for star gazing. "

"This stay was so refreshing. Walter & Mae’s Farmhouse is so picturesque, well furnished, so quaint and clean, we really enjoyed our stay so much! Such nice and considerate Hosts! The neighbors so open and genuine, the cows in the pastures, the trails, too many nice things to list. We will definitely return!"

"This is a great little place to get away for a few days. The river is beautiful and the location is very quiet and peaceful."

"I specialize in the identification and removal of mold and other hazardous materials in hospitals and sensitive areas. There was visible mold, active leaks, and the smell of mildew throughout. The pictures were very misleading. The real problem here is we were visiting the area for an industry event (healthcare construction) and I brought a representative from a local healthcare facility who just so happened to be immunocompromised and battling cancer. Thats not a good look. I won't stay here...

Oh my, the house, it is picturesque, it should be featured in a magazine. It is the cleanest vacation rental house we have stayed in. A big plus, just a short drive to Watauga lake. The host, Gary, is super friendly. We can’t wait to come back!"
