Unfortunately our room faced city and music and loud yelling til late at night was annoying. Slow elevators. But would definitely recommend. Safe with great service. "I did have kind of a rough experience at check in with one particular staff member, but we worked it out and the rest of the staff was incredible. The valet and door service was a nice treat. Very great location if walking to Moda or the convention center. Overall I would stay there again. This is no reflection on the hotel, but the neighborhood does not feel as safe as it used to. As a regular visitor to Portland, I have never felt unsafe on the streets after dark in that general region, but that was not the case this time. I do think the hotel might consider having security around their back entrance after dark. I was walking back from a concert late and had a few uncomfortable experiences. "

"I have stayed in more hotels than I can count. The service from the two late night gentlemen is above and beyond the best service we have ever received. They were both incredibly kind and accommodating. We will always stay at Hotel Lucia when in Portland solely based on their service and hospitality. Thank you for making us feel so welcome and comfortable during our short trip. We can’t wait to return! "
