"Highlight of our stay here is definitely the traditional Japanese buffet breakfast - a healthy spread, the food is delicious and you can see Mr Fuji while dining by the window. The rooms are well heated but a tad old and the furnitures can certainly use some upgrading work. Also as the resort is tuck away in a forested area away from the town, getting to any convenience store or restaurant would be a challenge without a car. "

"This hotel was nice and had some great amenities, but it is located pretty far from the train station and it seems the buses in the area stop running at 6:30 pm. Most businesses (like restaurants) also close around this time, so at least you can enjoy the onsen in the evening when there’s not much else to do!"

"They provide an amazing pick-up service with one caveat; they sent the WRONG PHONE NUMBER to call. (The correct number is able to be found on the internet easily, I am just not very smart) When you call the number they send, it tells you the number doesn't exist. I had to take a bus up to the place, and then walk uphill in the dark with my luggage for about 20 minutes. They give you a convenient book that tells you the Bus station information desk can call them. But they didn't send this...

"Best view of Mt Fuji by the Lake and from your own room! The front desk manager was very helpful and made out stay even better. There is a convenient shop about 5mins walk acrosss the road."

"located not nearby tran station , but the house owner provided free shuttle service, and drove us to a big supermarket nearby. only few minutes walk from the house to lake side, Fujiyama is right over there,beautiful view. there is a very big bathtub in the house, so good, recommend to all vistiors who love Fujiyama"

"The town of Yamanakako is an excellent place to take beautiful pictures of Mt. Fuji. This guesthouse is only about a 15 minute walk from Lake Yamanakaka where you can get the most Instagram worthy photos and there are plenty of places to eat. The guesthouse itself is great. It's a nice shake up from hotel rooms and really is a way to get yourself immersed more into Japanese culture."
