"My family and I had a great stay! We had a wonderful thanksgiving lunch with family and friends. The space to preparing for the meal to cooking to enjoying our meal was more than enough room for all 18 of us. The games and area for kids to play was great. The hot tub was a big hit as well. "Great view of the San Luis Valley and San Juan Mountains. The main view from the dining room is spectacular! We played games at the table and would stop to discuss the view and watch the sunset. Very inspiring and created a peaceful fun vibe while we played games. Very private and peaceful location. Walkable neighborhood with great views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. We drove to the Colorado Gator Farm and were not Disappointed. Rescue reptiles in Colorado so cool! We would defiantly stay...

"We wanted a quiet week away after the holidays and this cabin was perfect for our family of 5 plus dog. Great space for everyone to have their own privacy, but also great family room area to gather for meals, games, and reading the by the fire. Communication with Pete was very easy - we had a few things come up that he was able to help out with quickly. Will definitely stay here again!"

"It's a rare treat to be on acres of land and open space such that surrounds this home. More than anything, the house has a peaceful, welcoming feel. Not too fancy schmancy, but not run down. It was very clean, which is often a wild card with short rentals. I enjoyed the unimpeded views of the Sangre de Cristos as well as the range on the other side of the valley. "The Rustic Rook Resort is a fabulous new addition to the Yurt/Bin wave of alternative to hotel stays. It is just a few miles from the Great Sand Dunes National Park that is simply awe inspiring and has fabulous sledding on the Dunes for the entire family.
