From my first encounter with Maddie her caring and genuine warmth was evident. She went the extra mile to help us feel at home at her lovely retreat. "The property was not really within walking distance of downtown area. Beautiful house but we went at Christmas time and they had no decorations. I realize they probably worry about offending someone but I don’t think garland on the fireplace mantels or a fake poinsettia here or there would have been an issue. It would have been nice if they had some box games for kids or families to play while staying there. Ok for a night or two. "
