Just be mindful you will need to let the dog out on a lead at the side of the property as there is no garden as such but it’s not a problem. "A lovely 3 night stay on Bassenthwaite Lake. Lodge was well appointed and as described in the listing. Location is remote but only 10min drive to Keswick and exactly what we wanted. Recommend The Sun Inn in Bassenthwaite for dinner and even managed a quick paddle board on (thankfully not in) an empty Lake, which was bliss. Will definitely consider staying here again."

"Overall it was lovely but had minor quibbles so 4 star. not 5. Remote control for TV worked poorly. Outside table had broken leg and left unrepaired. Attention needed to back on front and back borders which had begun but not finished. Drinking mugs were unpleasantly heavy and large. Felt a bit end of season! "My friend and I stayed here for a few days and we had a great time. The apartment was super clean, really modern, spacious and comfortable and just the perfect place to go back to after a long walk. It’s near loads of nice bars, restaurants and coffee shops in a great location with nearby parking provided by the host. Steve was quick to respond to any messages and queries we had. Will definitely be going back!"
