It’s a traditional house with much of it recently renovated . It was very comfortable. And our hosts were great!"

"Our stay in Batalha could have started out poorly as William notified us the night before our arrival that our reservation had not recorded properly, and there was no availability for our first night. He quickly made the situation right by finding us a great hotel in town for the first night. Olive Hill is as nice as it looks in the photos, and clearly William is cut out for his second career in hospitality. We’d definitely stay there again."

"Such a cute place! Our host was super responsive negotiating the online registration and the two remotes for the tv setup. The apartment (it feels more like an apartment to me) had a pretty mix of old furniture with modern decor. The kitchen was well-appointed, the bath was fine, and the beds were comfortable. The location for exploring this little city was great: walking distance to the funicular to the castle, close to a nice weekend market, and easy to the city center and museums."

"We loved staying in this place. Tomar was still very warm at the end of August and the hiuse is located in a quet safe place. The parking is available both outside and inside the gate. An adorable little dog came to greet us, we became friends instantenuously. A ripe pear tree was full of fruit when we were there. What a treat! The weather was beautiful. "Excellent property, highly recommended. The garden and pool area is outstanding, not overlooked and completely private & peaceful. The house is well equipped as described and exactly as it appears in the listing & photos. Communication with the owner was very good, we were given a full tour at check in and also given advice for places to shop, restaurants, places to visit etc. when we did have a couple of questions they were answered almost immediately. "We loved the house and location. It had everything we needed and hoped for to experience local lifestyle and cuisine. We were near hiking trails, beaches and did several day trips. The local restaurants and stores had the supplies we required and even to make Christmas lunch. Our hosts were exceptional in communication and guidance throughout the stay regards the house and ideas for exploring. We hope to return! "
