"Great family trip! Riverside was a cute and comfortable little inn. The staff was great and we loved our room. We had a balcony which had a great view of the river. So peaceful. Walking distance to the shops and restaurants. I’m heartbroken for this community. So sad this little gem is gone. When they get up and running again we will definitely be back. One of my favorite towns in NC. "

"Overall, we had a great trip. There was nothing that lessened the enjoyment we had together as a family. However, there were a few things that may be normal in a mountain log cabin, but perhaps could be upgraded. There were a lot of stairs into the house and guest house and only one bedroom on the main floor of main house so seniors had a harder time of it. Cleaning was hit and miss. "We stayed at Springdale the weekend after Christmas when visiting family. There was an issue with our room and we were upgraded for free which was a pleasant surprise. The grounds were clean and beautiful. Wendy at the Front was so helpful and very friendly, she really made our stay exceptional! We ate at the restaurant which was also good. Wonderful stay and nice perks in rooms!"
