The neighborhood around also has an excellent coffee shop, bar, and food areas within walking distance. "The house was good, plenty of space. The steps were hard to get up and down but the upstairs was a nice space. House had a bit of a musty odor and the windows could use a cleaning. One night while watching a movie, we received a text stating we were had a loud party and to keep it down. They must have big brother watching us as the only party going on that night was in the movie. Overall the house was close to the city but in a nice Neiborhood. "We were in Homewood for a wedding and this was a perfect location. Besides its proximity to the wedding venue, we walked to the train station for a day in the city. The house is exactly as listed. It was very clean, organized and comfortable. Everything we needed was supplied. My husband especially liked the TVs. 😊 Since we were there on Halloween, we had the added bonus of seeing a truly family-oriented neighborhood in action. "This place looks nice in photos but is not ready for renting. It does not have a stocked kitchen or other basic amenities. Owner had to send glasses, silverware, hangers, iron, ironing board via Target on the second day of our stay. The dishwasher doesn’t work. Many of the drawers are broken. The deadbolt front door doesn’t lock from outside. "

"Perfect location outside of Chicago. We were visiting friends in nearby Hinsdale. Place is better than the photos. Easy check in process, great communication with host. Place is perfect, spotless and clean, seems brand new. Comfy beds. Keurig coffee was great. Would stay again. Highly recommend! ! "

"The house was nice, in a quiet area. The bedrooms were great. It was a little nerve wracking when the lower unit was rented, as we didn't want to disturb them. "

"The building is in a great spot! There are challenges though. The biggest things: 4th floor walk up - no elevator. Old building so tromping up and down the stairs is loud and we worried about disturbing the neighbors. For such a large place, seating is sparse. Master bedroom has no usable closet and the en suite shower is missing a glass door so it’s impossible to keep water from getting on the floor. "

"We absolutely LOVED staying here with our two dogs! It felt very clean and cozy and most importantly we felt very safe. The host did such a great job having so much available if you were to forget something everything was very well stocked. There was plenty of space and a fully fenced in back yard for our dogs too! Would stay again if in the area and would recommend to anyone looking to book!!"

"We were two families and the inside of the property was superb. If you care about cooking healthy during your stay, they ‘ve got healthy cooking utensils. Space is big enough for kids to play around. We enjoyed our stay overall. It was indeed home away from our home."

"I could not have asked for an easier spot in order to get to downtown Oak Park (5 minute Uber), train access to downtown Chicago (1 minute walk) and breakfast right around the corner. As high traffic as it might sound there was essentially no residual noise from any of it. Quiet, clean and cozy. I highly recommend this cottage!"

"Older property which matched description well. Comfortably fit 5 adults and teens for 4 night stay. Quiet neighborhood even though it is right next to highway. Grocery store within a few mins. We traveled several times to downtown Chicago and Rosemont without issues (other than normal chicago traffic). There are stairs from any entrance, so just be prepared if you have a heavy cooler like we did. :) Could have been a bit cleaner, but that would not stop me from staying again. The host...
