"Beautiful boutique hotel. I would say it’s closer to a 5 star hotel. Location is optimal. It’s between the Pisa Tower and shopping area. Great stay with my doggie."

"The owner was gracious and kind, the room was beautiful, and the location was perfect. The bed was the most comfortable we slept on during 2 weeks of travel across Europe. The coffee was incredible and one of the best we had during our travels. The only issue we had was that the heat didn’t work so it was very cold in the morning when we got out of bed. We let the owner know and she was responsive and apologetic and had someone out to repair it that day. We truly loved our stay here and highly...

"Friendly staff. Basic somewhat dated rooms. But this is reflected in the price. Excellent facilities especially fully equipped kitchen for self cooking. A little away from the center but near a cheaper supermarket."

"The property, rooms and surrounding gardens are just wonderful. Picturesque and very peaceful. The rooms are stunning. Only thing we missed was any guidance, signs etc to point to reception and breakfast area. It's a little search and find. Also there was no coffee or bar service as mentioned as all was closed, so I would recommend to enquire beforehand if you plan to use these facilities. "Like: the room was built on the ancient Amphitheater. It is located in the midst of everything. Dislike: The AC did not work. IT was unplugged. After a day I realized that, but then the remote had no effect in setting temperature, etc. I sweated every evening. The noise outside prevented me from leaving the window open. There was no cleaning service. Only once did someone come to empty the trash basket and removed a used towel. Two tiny soaps and two packets of shampoo. I had to go out and...

"Situated in a quiet area close to the village, this hotel is an example of ecological design and functional."

"This place was unique. Walkable to local restaurants so you get to eat like locals, get a gelato , maybe from Argentinos, but homemade! Park in the street. Maria Gli was very communicate with us. Room is clean, cute, safe and quiet sleep! Very good experience for a fam. with kids. I definitely recommend this option for a budget and want to explore “local” more than a typical tourist."

"The location was close to the promenade and beach. A lovely park was directly across from the property. It is a perfect place to walk to the train station, beach, restaurants and shops. It was a quiet location as well. The owners are lovely and very accommodating. The train made seeing Lucca and Cinque Terre a dream come true for me. I highly recommend this place. "

"We are a group of 12 retired friends traveling first time in Tuscany. Villa Buonamici was the perfect accommodation for us. It is very close to the gate to the walled city center, literally only minutes away. The accommodations were exactly as described. Checkin/out was very easy and convenient. Our trip to Tuscany included stays in four separate locations and Villa Buonamici was by far our favorite. Do yourself a favor and stay at this Villa, you won’t be disappointed."
