"Stairs being a problem, first floor lodging was perfect… Lovely view of the river, especially since the trees were denuded all foliage, but winter has its charms too at Sunset. First day we saw two young foxes and two deer, obviously obviously not walking together, but on the hillside just below the patio, so encouraged that wildlife is still more or less disturbed and abundant in spite of heavy development. Everything within walking distance for two old timers and our mini Labradoodle Pepper....

"The unit was very spacious and nicely furnished, with a beautiful view of the Comal River. Good kitchen with full-size appliances. Very nice bathrooms with walk-in showers. The parking area was well-protected. And a herd of deer wandered around the neighborhood! The only negative was the stairs—they are extremely steep and poorly designed, especially for someone like me, with mobility issues. "
