"We were looking for a quiet rural property to get some quality relaxation, and this house was perfect. It's a fantastic location right on the river without any noisy neighbors or street lights. Be aware, the property is located miles down a dirt road, so your car will get dusty in the summer or muddy in the winter. It's not a quick drive into town, so bring all the supplies you think you'll need. The walk down to the river is steep and sandy, so carrying river toys can be a challenge. The river trail is lined with poison oak which is also found all throughout the area, so care must be taken to keep people and pets out of the bushes. There is another rental unit downstairs, so if it is occupied with guests you'll want to mindful of creating excessive noise. There are tents on the adjacent property too, so there may be other people at the river. The host was a great communicator by VRBO messager. We will definitely consider staying at this property again in the future."

"Nice, nice people. Rooms were just fine -- no issues at all. Comfortable bed and large rooms. We got 40 miles away and my wife realized she had forgotten her purse -- called them and they instantly retrieved it with me still on the phone. We drove back and picked it up and they wouldn't take a nickel for ther kindness. One note, don't try to get there via Garberville exit -- that is the long way. Take the Redwood Dr. Exit off 101"

"I arrived stressed out, I left four days later rested, peaceful, and revived. So great to get away from all those Wi-Fi routers at hotels, where I don’t sleep well. Here, I slept like a baby and yet they still have star link for Internet access. Instead of waking up to the sound of refrigerators and cars and annoying hums, I woke up to the sound of silence. Except for the songbirds: hermit thrush, western tanagers, and goosebeaks, as the morning sunlight softly dappled on the tent through the redwood trees. The tent was spacious and clean, with tight zippers to keep out insects. Lots of warm blankets for chilly nights. Ernesto and Ana were a long stone throw away in the main house in case I needed anything, but they had already taken care of everything. A lot of hard work, and Love obviously goes daily into their property. Remote location, a beautiful 10 minute drive on a dirt road to arrive at this piece of paradise!"

"This is a lovely property 30 minutes away from Burlington Grove campground + other groves. My wife and her folks had an entire house to ourselves for $300+ cheaper than the Benbow. It was immaculately clean. It’s a pet friendly house but you would never know- there was 0 smell and 0 hair. It had lovely amenities, many of which we didn’t have time to take advantage of! It has a lot of little post-it notes to address some of the quirks of the house, but that really made it very homely and cute. The kitchen had what we needed (a coffeemaker!) and the bathrooms had fluffy towels folded and ready to go. There was one small problem- the given lockbox code was not correct. Had the front door not been unlocked, we would have been locked out for a while! But the hosts got back to us in a timely manner. The view is… spectacular. I wish I had more time to just sit outside and bask in the sun, and also to enjoy the cool evenings. I think next time I’m headed out to Burlington, I will try and book here again. Thanks!!"
