"I stopped by at 11:30 just to confirm my reservation and the host let me check in over 3 hours early. When I went to my room I found that the thermostat was not working, so the host immediately moved me to another room. Very friendly and helpful. Another great thing was the Humboldt Bar and Grill next door. I was already planning to eat there and was amazed when Google maps said it was a one minute walk. The room had a table and chairs, so I was able to eat in the room and relax after a busy day along the Eel River. I would definitely stay there again."

"This place has everything you need! As I enjoyed the amenities, I found just what I wanted, the right kind of tea, the oils I prefer, the cappuccino machine, good speakers for music, , the golf cart with a rain cover so we could enjoy the gorgeous outdoor when it sprinkled.And then my kids didn’t leave that basketball court and they were happy to find basketballs there/c theirs popped. The kids played ping pong and my oldest loved working out and occupying the poolhouse. Great spot and super close to where we need to be :)"

"Gorgeous historic inn with beautiful warm sitting rooms on the first floor with games, a roaring fireplace, and relaxing music. Food can be ordered from the in-house pub to this room as well, or eaten in the pub or dining room, which are both beautifully decked out as well. Rooms have delightful victorian decoration and vintage character. This was a fantastic refresh after having stayed in soulless contemporary hotels for all of my last stays."

"Hidden gem, nestled in redwood country. It doesn’t look it fro the outside but this was a cool hotel to stay the night during my travels south from the PNW. "

"Garbersville is very cute with many friendly residents. Mary’s Place was cozy, clean, and perfect for our group. "

"We had a nice stay at this Vrbo. Great place to get right on the Avenue of the Giants, which is a beautiful drive. The house had what we needed. There is a small grocery store nearby which can give you all the basics. Beds were comfortable and I appreciated there were plenty of towels in the bathroom. On the down side, the road (driveway?) next to the property looks like the local dump. Lots of abandoned cars and junk. The property is a great place for kids to explore nature. But it’s on a hilltop so you need to be able to manage hills if you want to join them! We didn’t have the greatest weather so we couldn’t use the fire pit like we would have liked to. "
