My boyfriend kept telling me make sure you leave then a good review
My boyfriend and I chose to celebrate our 3 yr anniversary in this cabin.
We absolutely loved it.
A 10 out of 10 in our eyes.
The check in was the easiest that we've experienced experienced in our travels.
This property was the perfect spot for our family to meet up and enjoy the beautiful Redwoods. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return again someday. The property was beautiful inside and out.
We had a long weekend here and it was fantastic. I was so sad to leave I wish we had booked a longer stay. Absolutely beautiful house and property. Clean and very well maintained. My kids had to much fun splashing in the stream and we all loved the nearby hikes through the redwoods. The cliff in the backyard looks so much bigger in person, it is huge!
Beautiful home in lovely setting. Our stay was unusually hot so if the prediction is for high heat (100 degrees) understand that it can be very warm. Nights were always delightfully cool so we could bring in the cold air in the late evening and early morning. If temps are in the low 90s and below during the day, it would be quite comfortable. Countless hikes and forests and lost coast beaches within an hour drive. Nice amenities. Great place.
We’ve had an amazing time. This vacation home is perfect getaway. No neighbors, beautiful redwoods and creek, we were surrounded only by nature. Loved everything about it. We will definitely be back soon.
Situated on a beautiful piece of nature, this was calming and restful. The interior was clean and with lovely decorator touches. I found it perfectly functional with elegant simplicity - kind of like a Scandinavian Zen with all the nice wood tones. The home is also along the route to Shelter Cove which was a beautiful if windy drive and sweet destination (make sure to eat at Gyppos), not far from Avenue of the Giants to the North and all manner of lovely parks to the south with swimming holes and hiking trails. Be sure to ask about the presence of blue green algae, however, it is very dangerous for dogs and we were unaware of it happening until told by a ranger. Very lovely.
This property is amazing! Totally private, plenty of yard to throw a football or frisbee, mesmerizing landscape, gorgeous trees, creek wraps around the property, hot tub was perfect at night, and my kids and their dad loved the full size ping pong table. Nature all around, so peaceful, we seen deer every day we where there. Looking at the stars in the night was breathtaking.
Highly recommend for a family getaway.
We enjoyed our stay and would love to come back in the near future.
Loved our stay. Great location. Needed some assistance to find it. The owner/property manager helped us when we thought we were lost. It is past the redwood grove park....just keep going. It is worth it. Big, clean, right on the creek...and a HOT TUB! And wildlife all around. The deer and her fawn were wonderful to wake up and see in the morning!
Loved it!!
Family gathering for Avenue of the Giants Marathon
Our family had a memorable weekend enjoying the beautiful redwoods and all the peace and quiet of the area. The property is right next to a stream and there are lots of beautiful trees and flowers all around.
The house is clean and spacious and has everything needed for a comfortable stay. The beds are very comfortable and the three bedrooms are private and quiet.
I really liked the quiet heating system and beautiful windows and skylights...even on chilly, rainy days the house is cozy and light.
Our two small dogs were in heaven...they got their own giant dog bed and plenty of space inside and outside. (even a fenced area to run around)
Adding to the fun were the hot tub (seems new and very clean) and the ping pong table! We had a great time.
This is a lovely property 30 minutes away from Burlington Grove campground + other groves. My wife and her folks had an entire house to ourselves for $300+ cheaper than the Benbow.
It was immaculately clean. It’s a pet friendly house but you would never know- there was 0 smell and 0 hair.
It had lovely amenities, many of which we didn’t have time to take advantage of!
It has a lot of little post-it notes to address some of the quirks of the house, but that really made it very homely and cute.
The kitchen had what we needed (a coffeemaker!) and the bathrooms had fluffy towels folded and ready to go.
There was one small problem- the given lockbox code was not correct. Had the front door not been unlocked, we would have been locked out for a while! But the hosts got back to us in a timely manner.
The view is… spectacular. I wish I had more time to just sit outside and bask in the sun, and also to enjoy the cool evenings.
I think next time I’m headed out to Burlington, I will try and book here again. Thanks!!

Cute but underwhelming
The location of the cabin is amazing! Great drive and privacy, but due to the neighbors and local weed farm, everything outside smelled of weed during the day and evening. This posed an issue when we had to open windows in the evening to cool the house down since it doesn’t have AC. We were given the wrong lock box code at first and had to return to town to get the proper code, thankful Susan responded quickly. There are no window shades on any windows, except for half shades in the bathroom (still completely see through), which is a little unsettling. Also disappointing to be spending so much on a place only to get cheap 1 ply toilet paper, a broken water dispenser on the fridge, and little notes around the place of things to be careful with or they will break. Thankfully we didn’t bring our dog with us this time, as if we did he would only be allowed to sit on the bed, or be tied up outside. Claims to be dog friendly, but then restricts pets on furniture, beds, towels, bathrooms, and basically only allows them on the dog bed. The cabin looks cute, and is nice once you look past the spiders and smells of weed, but some cheap improvements could make it even better.
