"A 1 night stay for work reasons. The pub and food are excellent with a good selection at a reasonable price. My room was comfortable but very cold due to the old leaking sash windows. All in all for the price it's ok for a 1 night stay. "

"Ilmington is a charming village and it is still unspoilt by tourism and traffic. It is so bucolic as the sheep graze on the hills surrounding the village and the quiet of the night is worth the price of admission. We loved the Howard Arms. The Village room was spacious and had loads of history and beautiful features. Breakfasts were plentiful with good options. We will definitely stay here again if we return to this part of the Cotswolds."

"No staff during majority of stay. No restaurant. Very basic breakfast. Same cheese/meat in fridge for 3 days. No cleaning of room or bed for 3 days. TV bracket broken with TV hanging at an angle downwards. No heating unless requested. Poor electric shower pressure. Water restrictive sink taps impractical. Very noisy when pub full. Disappointing and basic accommodation."
