"I stayed here with my cousin while we were in town for a Tough Mudder race. This place was perfect. It is clean, has locks, the grill worked great, electricity. The bath house adjacent to the sleeping quarters was clean, only about 60 steps away, and also had a microwave. Nice. This place was great. "

"I stayed at the lodge primarily for the dark skies and was not disappointed....the stars popped by 9pm and were beautiful. The main draws for the lodge are the mt bike lift and trails down the mountain and boat launching. Unfortunately the lake is too low there for any boating. The location is very peaceful so I enjoyed just sitting out and watching nature during the day and some hiking. The room was motel like and was spotless. Full kitchen. Checking in/out was easy and staff were very personable. Other than the biking there is not much else to do there but it makes a great get away otherwise. There is Long Horn Cavern and Inks Lake state park with great hiking trails about a 20 minute drive. This is not a luxury resort but for the price and quality of the accommodations it was really a nice stay."

"The hubby and I went for a Valentine’s getaway and as we walked in, we were greeted with a lovely personalized sign, wine, Valentine’s day glasses, candy basket, fresh cupcakes and so much more! So much attention was put into details.The cabin was super clean and well organized. The hosts were so friendly and made checking in welcoming and seamless! We had a wonderful time exploring the property and watching the countless amounts of wildlife, including exotics! We are so fortunate to have met such lovely caring people and were so grateful for the memories we made, we'll definitely be taking our kiddos back next time to enjoy it as much as we did!! 1000% recommend!!! "Conveniently located near Colorado Bend State Park on the Colorado River, this house easily acommodated our two families with room to spare. The only drawback was staying in February when it was too cold for the pool. Guess we'll have to plan a return trip..."

"We were looking for a quiet, family-friendly stay in the country and we found Artemis Ranch. We stayed in the cottage on the property and I could immediately tell the difference from other vacation homes we’ve visited in the past. The owners really care about the guest experience. There were 2 bottles of wine and a basket full of snacks for the whole family: coffee pods, chips, candy, etc. The fridge was full of bottled water. The cottage was immaculate, cozy, and perfect for our family. The kitchen was stocked with absolutely everything I needed to cook a nice dinner. Everything was top of the line, including the awesome pellet grill. The hot tub was amazing and looking out over the property with the sky at night and the lit trees at the lodge was beautiful. We were able to fish and catch bass in the lakes. I enjoyed hikes on the gravel roads over bridges and hills with great scenery. The best part, however, was Ty (the owner) so graciously taking us on at least a 2 hour tour of the property and all the animals. My 3 boys were just amazed at everything- including feeding the friendly Rhino, Giraffes, and a sweet deer named chocolate. I don’t know how we will ever top this Vrbo- we felt so welcomed and like VIP guests. Ty is a genuine guy who just loves this property, all his animals, and hosting guests- and to quote him “what’s the point of having all this if you can’t share it?” Thank you Ty!! We will be back! "
