"This is our go-to hotel for Cheltenham/Gloucester. Easy to get to, friendly staff, a pool and gym. The food on site is delicious. There are lots of options available, bar, restaurant, room service. Nice seating areas outside and lots of places to sit inside if you want to read or play board games. We use it as a home from home when we are visiting family in the area. Highly recommended."

"This is a great place to stay in Cheltenham. A short walk from most places but far enough away to be peaceful. The staff were all lovely and the room was large and airy. The dark painted walls may bother some people but we got used to it. "

"I can thoroughly recommend this beautiful historic hotel! It has been refurbished whilst keeping all these amazing features! The service is superb. The bedrooms are well equipped - little things like fresh milk in the mini fridge rather than capsules! It has a good sized car park. The breakfast Is delicious. Can’t praise it enough!"

Contacted some time later bye Hotels.com to say I couldn't have dogs in that room and they apparently couldn't get Stratton House to agree to move me to a dog friendly room. ie I had to lose my deposit. Called Stratton House directly myself and they moved me with no issue at all and didn't charge me to move rooms. Would visit Stratton House again but never use Hotels. com again!"
