"Had a 10 night stay in Swissotel Grand Shanghai and enjoyed the great service throughout. All their service staff were very warm and friendly. The hotel itself is a little dated, given its an old building, but relatively well maintained. Our original room window wasn't able to close properly after we ventilated the room, the staff quickly accepted our request for a room change and even upgraded us to a slightly better room at no charge, and gave us free breakfast to go with for our remaining stay (separate note, the breakfast quality isn't good for a 5-star hotel I must say). A few tiny gestures illustrated their attention to details, e.g. giving us extra bottles of water, tissue, as we both were having a bad bout of running nose and cough. We also did a fair bit of online shopping and they've also assisted us kindly in the deliveries to the room without fail. Will definitely consider to return here to stay whenever I return to Shanghai in future. "

"this is nice marriott hotel but clean & modern & keen staff. good size rooms. i may trry the executive floor next time has good gym + pool The only drawback is proximity to subway station is short walk. plenty malls nearby with normal fast foods kfc etc shopping malls are approx /mins walk away good blue frog western style restaurant opposite with good draft beers selection+ happy hours till 8pm. good range of grilled foods/steaks etc & fair prices "

"Friendly staff. Handy location to shopping plazas. Very good buffet breakfast menu. 40-45 mins drive to international airports "
