"The only problem was the sound proofing. I could hear the room across the corridor playing music and we both had our doors closed. Its a nice little hotel. Good breakfast. My room was very small. No chair in the room to sit. You could only watch tv in bed and 1/4 of the tv was hidden behind to wardrobe. There was no view from the window. All you could see was rubbish on the ground outside. What a shame. Lots of cheap shops snd eats around the hotel. Nearest metro Yenikapi. About a 10 min walk."

"As a Turkish American I definitely recommend. Its perfectly clean, owener is realy helpful even he gave me istanbulkart which is necessary for traviling in the city. when we come to the location if you really experience istanbul real deep spirit for sure book it. "Friendly, helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. The only negative was that there was a problem with the shower doors in that there was a large gap in the middle causing the water to leak out when taking a shower. This was reported many times but never got fixed. "

"we had a family room, connected.with ocean vieuw booking.The rooms are terrible,dark no space even for one suite case.A double bed where you can step out only on one site.No lobby.I paid for 5 nights and after the first night we move to another hotel so I lost my money for 4 nights.The staff offer us 2 standard rooms that was nice of them but the hotel was to inconvenient to have a good vacation!"

"We spent a wonderful week in La Mer Old City Hotel. The hotel is beautiful, modern and clean. The location is fantastic, we saw the Ayia Kiriaki church from our window. The Sea of Marmara and U3 train is 3 minutes on foot. The main attractions of Istanbul are also very close. The staff of the hotel is very kind, friendly and helpful, we would like to thank them all their kindness."
