"The Grand is an iconic hotel with lots of character, but is now looking a little tired in places…chipped paint, thick layers of paint, dented wood / door frames, worn carpets (in high traffic areas), dated bathrooms..etc, hence there is a multi million pound refurbishment plan in place…to bring it back into the spotlight as the top hotel in Brighton. But the rooms are of good size, huge beds, everything is of good quality and the staff are excellent, from the very curtious door staff to the breakfast crew. We have been coming here for years and particularly like the atmosphere at Christmas, with the enormous Christmas tree and decorated spiral bannister…"

I booked in a hurry after a very long journey with a young baby and manager kindly made an exception as a one off which we were extremely grateful as didn’t know this wasn’t allowed. Breakfast was lovely and the young man serving was kind and attentive. Will definitely recommend and stay again. Super."
