At check out, it was a near argument with the staff (who were asleep when I was trying to leave) about them saying I needed to have my room checked before I was “allowed” (in his words) to leave. "We were extremely unhappy with our stay here. 1. It was cold in the room and we couldn’t use the heater, because it doesn’t work during summer time. Reception doesn’t have clue about it, and they were just telling us turn on AC for heat and wait 10 mins. 2. On the reception in the evening there was a random drunk person from the street. There are no any security there. 3. In the hotel restaurant they did not remember the whole order… We were waiting until we asked, and they were like.....

"In general it is a good new hotel, however I think it’s overpriced. There was a strong smell of sewerage in the shower and ventilation didn’t work. Another strange thing that guests should pay attention to when booking on Expedia is that the actual hotel address doesn’t match it’s location on the website map. I didn’t notice that when I was looking for the hotel near the place I planned to visit and I had to go by taxi back and forward another 6 km (half an hour drive) every day instead walking...

"Unique point - very very brown Soviet place, clean but dismal. Large room, basic, things worked...just. Reception desk often unmanned. Breakfast served only in room, on a brown table, basic food ordered from pictures. Staff were not very friendly, little smiling, a lot of sighing. Transfer was good, collected punctually early hours of the morning. Situation is good, close to central sights and bus stops. But path is a track with huge puddles to negotiate."
