"Our stay was amazing. We got in late so just went right to sleep but when we woke up and went downstairs to the cafe it was perfect. We started with cappuccino, fresh squeezed orange juice and croissants and finished with ham and cheese toasted sandwich. Guillano and the rest of the staff were super friendly and welcoming. The small town location was the perfect spot to start or trip. "

"My friends and I (3 couples) stayed in this beautiful apartment in August and we will definitely be back! It's an easy drive from Milan airport, and sits in a gated estate in the hills above Barzano, a sleepy nearby town. The apartment has clearly been refurbished recently and it's clean, well-equipped and very spacious, but still has the charm of a grand old Italian villa. The rooms all had AC, Wi-Fi and super comfortable beds. The weather was amazing so we spent our time swimming in the lovely pool, walking in the gardens and exploring the area. It's a very quiet and private place, and we loved cooking and eating on the terrace - the property is high up in the hills and the views are astonishing. Gretchen was incredibly helpful, and provided us with some great recommendations for restaurants and walks in the nearby forest. Overall a very relaxing and refreshing stay. "Lovely hotel, on site parking which was free on the Sat night/sunday we were there - may be payable @ other times. We booked a family room with one large double and two single beds. Lovely big room with lots of space. Even though the shower was a little tired I liked that the main bathroom had an attached room with an additional large sink which allowed others to wash/brush teeth while someone else was secure in the main shower room/toilet. Breakfast was varied and nice. Village was cute, pizza takeaway around the corner, beautiful lake with lovely park a 5 min walk which was perfect for a swim. We arrived during a music festival by the lake which was great but beware the mossies - insect spray essential!"

"After a whistle stop tour of Rome, we thoroughly enjoyed 4 nights at this villa. The hosts were very welcoming, meeting us and accompanying us to the property as well as providing recommendations as to where to eat and shop for food, plus a very generous welcoming gift of brioche bread on arrival and a bottle of fizz on our last night. After a hectic time in Rome, we all completely relaxed at the villa - it is so remote and peaceful. The villa is very spacious and stays cool during the day and night, and the pool is a great size - complete with inflatables! The kitchen is very well equipped, but we didn't trouble it too much, preferring to either eat out or just enjoy local meats, cheeses and bread. It's very close to Lake Como - and we did a day trip there - an hour walking tour and a boat trip to Torno, where we had an amazing lunch at Albergo Ristorante Vapore. Delicious risotto and an incredible view of the lake. We ate twice at Ristorante Da Rosa in Montorfano- once at the restaurant, then returning for a takeaway pizza on another night! This villa is a perfect holiday retreat - remote and peaceful, but within easy reach of fabulous places to visit and eat. We absolutely loved it. We completely relaxed and recharged our batteries after our trip to Rome. Our only word of caution would be the bumpy road to reach the property - make sure, if you have a hire car, it's not too sporty or low to the ground!"

"Nice hotel, in a residential area so it does a great job of providing everything you could need. Lovely pool area with an onsite bar, changing rooms, lockers etc. great selection of healthy, fresh, tasty breakfast items. Restraint and bar was a little pricey for our tastes but menu looked perfect for gastro types :). Aircon in room seemed lacking, we did stay during peak summer but it felt like the room never got below 28°c"
