"We booked a last minute stay at this hotel for New Years Eve. We booked two rooms, and both were upgraded to have a lake view, and the hotel was kind enough to give us connecting rooms since we were there with our two tween sons. The hotel was in a PERFECT - PERFECT location!! The rooms were comfortable and had balconies. We would have had a perfect spot to watch all of the NYE fireworks, if not for the fact that our sons wanted to be on the lakefront. :) I absolutely recommend this hotel for a stay in Como!!!"

"Lovely hotel, on site parking which was free on the Sat night/sunday we were there - may be payable @ other times. We booked a family room with one large double and two single beds. Lovely big room with lots of space. Even though the shower was a little tired I liked that the main bathroom had an attached room with an additional large sink which allowed others to wash/brush teeth while someone else was secure in the main shower room/toilet. Breakfast was varied and nice. Village was cute, pizza takeaway around the corner, beautiful lake with lovely park a 5 min walk which was perfect for a swim. We arrived during a music festival by the lake which was great but beware the mossies - insect spray essential!"

"After a whistle stop tour of Rome, we thoroughly enjoyed 4 nights at this villa. The hosts were very welcoming, meeting us and accompanying us to the property as well as providing recommendations as to where to eat and shop for food, plus a very generous welcoming gift of brioche bread on arrival and a bottle of fizz on our last night. After a hectic time in Rome, we all completely relaxed at the villa - it is so remote and peaceful. The villa is very spacious and stays cool during the day and night, and the pool is a great size - complete with inflatables! The kitchen is very well equipped, but we didn't trouble it too much, preferring to either eat out or just enjoy local meats, cheeses and bread. It's very close to Lake Como - and we did a day trip there - an hour walking tour and a boat trip to Torno, where we had an amazing lunch at Albergo Ristorante Vapore. Delicious risotto and an incredible view of the lake. We ate twice at Ristorante Da Rosa in Montorfano- once at the restaurant, then returning for a takeaway pizza on another night! This villa is a perfect holiday retreat - remote and peaceful, but within easy reach of fabulous places to visit and eat. We absolutely loved it. We completely relaxed and recharged our batteries after our trip to Rome. Our only word of caution would be the bumpy road to reach the property - make sure, if you have a hire car, it's not too sporty or low to the ground!"

"We were greeted be a friendly, happy gentleman even though we had been delayed until 10.30pm. He managed the checkin smoothly. The room had 2 single beds as requested, my mattress was a little lumpy. The off suite bathroom toilet was clean and functional, the shower was good. The hotel is a bit quirky but just look at the view and all of the quirkiness goes away, it is in a fabulous place with panoramic views of the lake and mountains. Breakfast is a taste delight, the pastries are sooo fresh, the cakes and pies are fantastic, there is an array of yogurts, fruits, cereals, bread, cheese,and cooked meats all to test your tastebuds. The rest of the management and staff are cheery and friendly and spoke English for us. The restaurant in the evening has a very tasty menu, some tradition recipes went down a treat and served professionally, and all with the view of the lake as the sun went down, wonderful place, wonderfull stay , thanks to all."
