"This is the second time we've stayed at the Mason Freehouse, it was lovely the first time we stayed, which made us keen to return. Although it is now under new management, it's clear that the lovely, friendly, warm welcoming atmosphere is something the staff are keen to retain. "We had a lovely family stay, the pool was great and opened early so kept the kids entertained before breakfast with early wake ups! Lovely little play area outside and play area inside to keep kids entertained for a little while, nice size rooms and all very clean. Close to Lancaster town centre beautiful area "

"Lovely hotel. We had a room upgrade as it was a birthday which was great. Customer service when we arrived on reception was not great. There was no enthusiasm to see us or smiles from the man. I think he was new as unsure in himself. But even so he could be more welcoming "
