"Great fun hotel. The Captain who owns the place is an 80 year old Japanese Olympic ski racer and full of interesting stories and enthusiasm for skiing and the mountains. His son Ken is also a good and enthusiastic skier. Everyone speaks great english. Dinner was excellent and included the best fried chicken my 12 year old son has EVER had. Breakfast good too. There is a pleasant bar on site open until 10 pm. The hotel is genuine ski in ski out and about 15s ski to the lift. My kids borrowed...

"HA-MON was excellent, fantastic friendly staff and owner. Only minor issue we had was that we did not realise we had booked a room without a private bathroom. Most rooms do not have private bathrooms, however, this was our fault for not reviewing the room details properly before booking. Other than that we were very happy with our stay. Thank you! ☺️"

However, if we had known that the cabin was 2 km away from the hotel, we probably would not have stayed. I booked it because of its proximity to echo land. However, the cabins were located 2 km outside of town, and although there was a shuttle it would’ve been super helpful to have a car. in addition, the cabin was very cold.
