We had the perfect time: aurora borealis dancing over the sky, while we were soaking in the hot pot, lake and mountains covered in snow. The house is so nicely designed, so cosy and lovely. "We had a total of 12 people in our group and this property setup was perfect. People ages 8 months to 65 years. Location was great for exploring Snaefellness but not too far away from Reykjavik to discourage golden circle activities. Road is pretty easy to find, don’t need 4x4 but take it slow. Need cell phone access for getting to the property. We got to see northern lights while there so that was nice. Absolutely recommend staying here"

"We rented both houses Bakki and Holt for our extended family. It was perfect. They are connected by a quick path through the woods. Great location outside of town but close enough for easy access to grocery stores and liquor store. We used this as a base to explore Snæfellsnes peninsula. Farther out on the peninsula quickly becomes very empty and hard to restock. "
