"All in all nice little cottage for a couple and good as was pet friendly to go up Durham to visit our son up uni and take our dog to see him too. Cottage was nice a little place although i think the tv was slightly too high on wall. As we arrived there were 3 plumbing vans parked outside so had to park out side another cottage for bout hour n half till they moved their vans after going in pub at front of cottages before parking own car then outside our own cottage. "An amazing place, the kids and dog loved it. So much freedom with it been locked gates and fence. Great selection of toys games and outdoor equipment theyve really thought of everything. Highly recommended for anyone with children. The space inside and outside the property is amazing no one was in anyones way loads of space to do your own thing. Doesnt matter about the weather there is enough things to keep you occupied in all weathers. Local aldi and coop within 10 min drive.Cant wait to go...

"Our stay over Christmas in the beautiful Kestral cottage was superb. Jean and Amy made us feel very welcome and went 'above & beyond' to make our stay perfect. "The cottage lovely and is just what you need as a home from home. It is very clean and warm. My family enjoyed our time here. The kitchen is well stocked with cutlery and crockery and the dining room especially has beautiful lighting. "Property was brilliant area excellent as I know it well being from Walker originally.Could not fault the cottage apart from the obviously inflated price for Sam Fender concert. As a Geordie this didn't go down too well. A must if you are a visitor to the area as it is set in an idyllic and central area for almost everything worth visiting in Newcastle area and beyond."

"Well this booking was made on the whole purpose of having a relaxing weekend after running 350km for charity over the past few months. So we booked here for the hot tub and the relevant ease of running a Park Run on the Saturday. After running this Park Run we returned back to the accommodation for our day of in and out of the hot tub. "Had a lovely time staying here for a few days. We had a couple of places we had on our bucket list and this was a good base. Didn’t get a chance to see the arch near by by as it was raining. Only advise would be to have a sign where the holiday homes are as we used the postcode and nav took us to road down the road. Thank you for loaning us your pass for the Beamish Living Museum, had a lovely day even though we got a little wet. "
